It's actually very easy to use your seedbox from any computer. Whether you run Windows, Mac, Linux or anything else, it works the same. You only need a browser and an FTP client.
(S)FTP, SSH, and the web interface are already ready for you to use. You don't need to do anything to setup your seedbox. To start, login to your Dashboard and click the link 'login as admin' which will open in a new tab or window.
This is your ruTorrent interface where you can add, control, and delete torrents on your seedbox.
You can then click the button in the upper left corner that looks like a '+' and click the 'browse' button to upload a specific .torrent file you have downloaded from your tracker.
After the torrent has downloaded to your seedbox, you'll be able to use Filezilla (or any other FTP client) to download the data from that torrent to your home computer. The login information for your seedbox is the same for (S)FTP, SSH, and for the web interface and is listed on the 'Information' tab in your Dashboard under 'User:' and 'show password'. We highly recommend using SFTP over FTP to keep your data secure.
What's nice is you mostly shouldn't need to use this information manually. If you have Filezilla, you can simply download a settings file from your Dashboard 'Information' tab to set it up for you. Click the link that says 'filezilla-settings.xml' to download that file, and then in Filezilla, click 'File' -> 'Import', and browse to wherever you downloaded that file.
You can then use the 'connection manager' in Filezilla to connect to your seedbox very easily and download the data to your home computer.
You can right click on torrents in the web interface to find more options for your torrents. The most common ones you will use are 'start', 'stop', 'label', 'save to..', and 'remove and.. delete data'.
Seedbox Server Mini
If you have a Seedbox Server Mini, your seedbox has two disks, the first and default one is the super fast SSD disk, while the second one is the usual spindle disk. You can move your torrents from one disk to the other by using the 'save to..' feature. The basic idea here is extra fast seeding and downloading from the default disk until the cloud has burst or you are otherwise ready to move them to your storage disk where they will continue to seed. For more information on how to use this, see here. Please let us know if you have any troubles with that or need clarity. If you have any questions or run into any problems getting started or need any other help definitely let us know on the 'Support' tab in your Dashboard, or by sending us an email at support@seedboxhosting.com.
