It is easy to transfer files to and from your seedbox server using FTP or SFTP.
We recommend the FileZilla FTP client. Download and install the client if you don't already have it.
Setting up FileZilla is simple
- Go to the "Info" tab in the control panel.
- Download the "filezilla_settings.xml" file and save it to your desktop.
- Open up FileZilla and select "Import..." from the "File" pull down menu.
- Browse to settings file you saved in step 2 and select "Open"
- Select "OK" to the message asking if you want to import the Site Manager settings
Your seedbox settings are now imported to FileZilla.
Open the FileZilla Site manager and you will find a new FTP and SFTP entry for each user you have on your seedbox. Double clicking any of these will connect FileZilla to your seedbox.
SFTP is more secure than FTP because it uses the SSH protocol.
Transfering your files
By default, FileZilla will show your local file system on the left and your remote server file system on the right. Transferring files is as simple as dragging from one and dropping to the other.
