The brand new Seedbox Server Mini is special. It has two types of storage. This innovative configuration gives high performance where it matters - yet does not sacrifice on the amount of storage space.

10 GB Solid State Drive
These are the high end Intel X-25 Solid State Drives (SSD) providing random access times of about 0.1 ms. Compare that to standard hard disks which provide 5 to 10 ms random access times. Yes, you read that right, that is 50 to 100 times faster.
150 GB Hard Disk Drive
Lots of disk space for long term seeding. Because Intel SSD drives are comparatively more expensive, we also build in lots of standard disk space.
How to use this unique seedbox
By default any torrents you add will be placed on the super fast SSD (/data/admin/rutorrent ). Keep the torrent here when it first hits the swarm and you need it to be FAST.
After the initial frenzy dies down and the torrent begins to seed more slowely, you can move it onto the Hard Disk storage space ( /data/admin/storage ) space for extended long term seeding.
ruTorrent makes it simple to move torrents
- Right click on the torrent you want to move and select Save to..

- Change /data/admin/rutorrent to /data/admin/storage
- Select Move data, and push OK

- Depending on the size of the data and current server load, it can take up to several minutes to move. You will notice it's done moving when the disk space indicator changes.
This will free space space on your SSD drive to for new torrents. You have complete freedom to manage torrents back and forth between the two types of storage
NOTE: /storage is sym-linked to and the same as /data/admin/storage
If for any reason you want to add a torrent directly to your storage space, simply click the 'add torrent' icon and change where it says 'Directory' to /data/admin/storage as you are adding the torrent.
Check Free Disk Space
You can know how much remaining free disk space you have on both your disks at any time by clicking on a torrent stored on that disk and viewing the 'General' tab in ruTorrent. You will see 'Free Disk Space:'
