UPDATE:  This is old information.  We have replaced uTorrent WebUI with the much better ruTorrent.  We will be updating this information for ruTorrent shortly.

Here's a very helpful Firefox addon for uTorrent WebUI seedbox owners that allows users to import .torrent files directly from a private tracker. It saves the trouble of having to first download (and save) .torrent files to your PC's hard drive and then having to manually add them into the seedbox. Once installed, simply drag or right-click a torrent link (or the DL 'download' quicklink) and the torrent will be automatically added into your uTorrent WebUI seedbox. What could be easier?

What You'll Need:

1. Mozilla Firefox web browser.

2. The uTorrent WebUI 0.1.8.2b Firefox addon.

3. A uTorrent WebUI seedbox (it's also compatible with WebUI connected from a PC-based uTorrent installation).

What To Do:

1. Install the uTorrent Firefox addon, found here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/8168. Restart Firefox after installing.

2. Go into the Add-ons menu area in Firefox (Tools... Add-ons) and click the Options for uTorrent 1.8.2b:

3. Enter in your seedbox info. For the Server Address, don't add "http://" to the beginning of it - just use the domain address (see the example below). For the port number, the default 8080 should be used (the port can be found in the URL address bar of your seedbox, in the event it's something different than this). Enter in your username (the default is admin) and add your password; click OK to finalize.

You'll now notice a new status bar where your uTorrent stats and torrents are displayed, located in the bottom right corner of Firefox:

Addon Usage:

There are two methods for adding torrents from a private tracker website directly into your uTorrent WebUI seedbox.

Drag 'n Drop — Simply drag 'n drop torrent links directly onto the status bar at the bottom corner of Firefox, where they will be automatically added into your seedbox. This works for both full torrent links as well as torrent DL quicklinks.

Right-Click Importing — Users can right-click on a torrent (or quicklink) and select "Add torrent by URL" to add it in this manner. Also has support for torrent labels, if applicable.
